Introducing Sir Oliver Lodge, the Inventor of what we now call the Tesla coil

Sir Oliver Lodge was the first physicist to truly bridge the gap between science and spirituality.

More than a truly great scientists and engineer, Sir Oliver Lodge was a shaman who knew it was the duty of the scientist to be true to the spiritual world first as it was the source of all inspiration, all life and all reality.

A contemporary of Nikola Tesla, he watched with great excitement the work that Tesla and Steinmetz were doing and they were admirers of his work linking spirituality and science. In particular Lodge’s work with the detection and measurement of the aether and it’s drift was captivating to all the great victorian scientists.

Nikola Tesla studied the coils of Sir Oliver lodge and took them far farther than anyone dreamed, turning them into immense tools for the transmission and conversion of electricity into amazing new forms.

What we now call the Tesla coil is actually the invention of Sir Oliver Lodge and did little more than create sparks. Sir Oliver Lodge himself was a giant of Aetheric Engineering and one of the leading minds of his era along with Tesla. Lodge's focus was more in the detection of the Aether rather than the transmission of electricity.

The Ether of Space

Sir Oliver Lodge wrote many books but his foremost work on the aether, The Ether of Space (free pdf download), is truly a masterpiece. Studying this amazing volume will reveal gems of knowledge into the height of the Victorian Sciences. This was the book that inspired Nikola Tesla and some even think it inspired his ultra suppressed Dynamic Theory of Gravity. A superb review of this amazing book by Gerry Vassilatos can be found here.

  • Actually it wasn’t.

Hertz and others demonstrated Electrical Resonance long before Tesla.
